Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) The Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls is asking for the entire city's help in welcoming Paul McCartney for his first ever concert in South Dakota.
"A simple sign in your window that says 'welcome Paul' or if businesses have digital or static marquees, just putting something out that says 'welcome Paul'," urged Events Center Marketing Manager, Lucy Albers to make Sir Paul feel extra welcome for the May 2 concert.
The iconic falls at Falls Park will be lit up in blue for the historic event and a big 40-foot banner will be flying at the park. The Premier Center has a big billboard on the route McCartney will take from Sioux Falls Regional Airport to the Events Center, so he will be sure to see it.
Albers even encouraged McCartney fans to show up at the airport to give Sir Paul a big Sioux Falls welcome.
Albers says tickets for the show sold out in a matter of minutes and this is by far the biggest event the Sanford Premier Center has ever hosted.
