WATCH: Chelsea Clinton Campaigns in Green Bay

GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - Chelsea Clinton rallied supporters on her mom's behalf during a visit to Green Bay on Friday.

The younger Clinton spoke for about 45 minutes stumping for Democratic presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, in the Backstage Room at the Meyer Theater.

Officials say around 200 people attended the event where issues like equal pay, raising the minimum wage, and affordable higher education were highlighted.

Clinton considers this November's election the most important of her life.

"It will play a profound role in shaping the future that my children and their generation will grow up in."

Yvette Figueroah from Green Bay attended the event and agrees with Chelsea.

"What resonates with me the most, like she said, as a mother...I don't vote for me, I vote for my children."

Clinton says this November's election is also an important one for people concerned about civil rights and fairness in the work place.

"The ability to love whomever they love, be whomever they want to be without fear of discrimination or denigration."

Other people in the crowd like Kate Zuidmulder of Green Bay says it was important for her daughter, Mena, to experience the event.

"I've respected Hillary's career and the way she's maintained her private life and her public life. I think that's a really important role model for my daughter to see."

Green Bay Police Captain John Laux was working at the event and says it was peaceful rally.

"There were no issues at all and it was actually it was a very nice event."

Hillary Clinton has not campaigned in Wisconsin since before losing the state's Democratic primary in April.

The latest Wisconsin poll shows Hillary Clinton with a 3-point lead over Republican Donald Trump.
