WASHINGTON (KFGO) - The company that's building the Dakota Access Pipeline is seeking a federal judge's permission to resume the project.
The Army Corps of Engineers wants more study and input from the Standing Rock Sioux before it decides whether to allow the pipeline to cross the Missouri River.
Dakota Access LLC wants a judge to confirm that the company has the legal right to proceed. The company is also seeking permission to include previously withheld records that are "critical" to its defense.
Dakota Access says delays have cost the company nearly $100,000,000. The company says additional delays would cost millions of dollars more each month.
