FARGO (KFGO) - North Dakota's Lt. Gov. is criticizing the federal government. Drew Wrigley says it's done nothing to convince protesters to leave the oil pipeline camp south of Mandan, which grew to about 7,000 over the weekend.
"The Obama administration, through the Army Corps, directing their action and inaction, has protracted this matter quite dramatically, quite dramatically, Wrigley said. "The other day they said, well one of their thoughts was well by denying the permit now that should probably help things calm down, well not really," he continued on Its Takes 2 on KFGO.
Wrigley says the state is standing by and willing to help evacuate the camp, which has been hit by two winter storms. He calls it a humanitarian crisis.
