KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) -- Monday marks the one-year anniversary of a shooting spree across Kalamazoo that left six dead. A trial date for the alleged gunman, Jason Dalton, has yet to be set.
The Uber driver told investigators he was possessed to kill by the rideshare company's cell phone app.
Kalamazoo County Prosecutor Jeff Getting said Dalton's attorney will try to get those statements struck at a hearing next month.
"Once that's been completed we'll be able to schedule a trial date," Getting said. "I'm hopeful that it'll be taking place yet this spring."
Dalton is charged with six counts of murder and multiple gun felonies.
He's accused of wounding a woman outside a townhome complex, killing a father and son at a car dealership, then killing four women outside a Cracker Barrel.
A 15-year-old survivor shot in the head in the parking lot of that restaurant had another skull surgery just over a week ago.
